Streetlight fixtures are installed with the basic purpose of providing illumination on the road. However, whenever they exist in a wrong position, they fail to serve their basic purpose. As on Sunday, September 9, an LED fixture over a electricity pole along the Adpai jetty in Ponda was noticed in a misplaced condition. At present, maintenance work of the electricity department in Ponda is under progress due to Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Let us hope that the above LED fixture existing in a misplaced condition is re-installed in its correct position so that proper illumination is assured on the road. Only then would travellers and pedestrians receive necessary relief in this important matter. Prompt favourable action would certainly be appreciated by one and all.
