Sign of indifference: Replace dilapidated traffic signboard

A traffic signboard that was installed in the initial stage near Desai merchants in the vicinity of old bus-stand in Ponda has been existing in a dilapidated condition. Besides, it is covered with cable wires and hence invisible to travellers proceeding along this location. Since vehicles are prohibited from proceeding along the internal narrow road, there is every possibility of a mishap taking place at this strategic location sooner or later. It is time the concerned authorities provide an alternate signboard with immediate effect. Public at large should be assured safety on a permanent basis. Let us hope that the authorities would initiate prompt positive steps in this regard without any further delay.
