Subsidised fish & coconuts vanish

The newly formed party on  getting jackpot after  elections announced that subsidized fish and coconuts will be provided  being part of staple food of Goenkars. An eye wash attempt was made

and coconuts were provided and that scheme has since died down.

As  regards subsidised fish, the project has vanished in thin air even  before being taken up, and concerned Minister who was very much in news  initially has gone on hiding. Surprisingly it has been accepted fact  that there is not an iota of protest from us who are leading in march,  dharna, agitation, press note, threat etc. and so on any issue  cropping up in State from roads to airport.

The wholesale  market of  fruits & vegetables is captured by non-Goans so also the fish. The    Govt is doling out huge amount of subsidy to trawlers etc yet fish is  beyond the reach of common Goenkars, and Ministers are meekly seeing  the show not able to crack down the monopoly. The party formed with 3G    has so far done very little in that direction.

It may be under  impression that we do not need subsidised fish as it is never left  unsold or thrown out. The Govt can put tiles to ceilings so we can  afford to buy fish at any rate as demanded without murmur and then go  on criticizing, after sumptuous meal. The said party is part of Govt  and has every opportunity to make fish, coconut, vegetables & rice  within reach of Goenkars who should not be taken for ride.
