Finally the US State Department has recognised the Hizbul Mujahideen extremist outfit as a terror organisation. India can heave that what it was crying out all aloud has finally been heard. But to some extent, it doesn't change much. Mohammad Yusuf Shah, alias Syed Salahudin the chief of Hizbul, who was declared a terrorist by USA a month ago, has been camping in PoK for a very long time and India knows who he is and what role he has been playing from Pakistan.
All along Pakistan has been denying Salahudin's role in terror attacks and after tagging the group as a terrorist outfit, our neighbours are crying foul; claiming it to be unjustifiable. Hereon we can conclude that Pakistan is comfortable believing a fairy tale that terror chiefs housing on their territory are in fact not terrorist at all, and that they need ‘credible' evidence to prove that they are in fact evil.
For India, the good news from here would be, the claims of human rights violations against so called ‘people' in Kashmir who may actually be affiliated to the terror outfit, would be overlooked by the West. Pakistan till date has been taking up this issue with the UN for a long time. It can now be expected that there will be a major shift is White House's policy towards Kashmir and Pakistan, especially getting our neighbour to act ‘for real' against such outfits.
