Okay, so other Indian cities did not take notice of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s effort to clean the air in the capital city. Never mind. Fortune magazine thought his odd-even scheme to reduce cars on the road was a great idea and Kejriwal finds himself in the list of world’s top 50 leaders. Of course, he isn’t rubbing shoulders with Jeff Bezos
or Pope Francis, who are at position one and four respectively, or German Chancellor Angela Merkel who holds the second position, but to be the only Indian leader to be ranked in the list, even if it is at the 42nd position, is an honour for him and the rest of us. The reason he is up there is the blueprint he unveiled for cleaning up Delhi’s air, which is highly polluted. Kejriwal tried the odd-even experiment for 15 days and the people of Delhi gave him the thumbs up. No wonder he is in the list which recognises doers above talkers.
