Panjim: The BI Survey 2012, the world's largest independentsurvey of Business Intelligence software users published by the BusinessApplication Research Center (BARC) has rated arcplan the best BI SolutionsProvider in a series of categories. Arcplan came out on top in many categoriesand also reclaimed its ranking as the leading BI frontend. Among the EnterpriseReporting and Large Enterprise Project vendors, arcplan took the top spot for aset of prestigious categories. The Survey collected feedback from over 3,000users.

Idea wins best brand award

Panjim: Idea, one of the leading telecom brands in India hasbagged the prestigious World Communication Awards 2012 (WCA) under the ‘BestBrand Campaign’ category at the recently held awards ceremony in London.Recognised for its popular ‘3G Population Campaign’ this year, Idea continuedits winning spree at the WCA awards, second year in a row, making it the onlyIndian telecom brand to achieve this feat. Idea won at the Annual Awardsceremony of WCA which witnesses participation from the world’s biggest and thebest communications providers, honoring communications initiatives that haveproven their strong effectiveness with consumers.

New anti-smoking film released

Panjim: P Y Films Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Govind RubberLtd. (GRL) has produced its maiden film “Cigarette Ki Tarah”, which wasreleased in 3000 theatres across the world. This is a youth connected filmrelated to a real life story on quitting smoking. The film has been extensivelyshot in Goa. Even Ministry of Tourism, Goa has supported this film due to itsanti smoking theme.  The team of the filmwill hold a charitable concert in Goa to raise funds for rehab centres to helppeople quit smoking. The film is produced by Sunita Vinod Poddar & BrandaYadav. Bhoop Yaduvanshi makes his maiden debut as a hero in the film. The filmhas Madhurima Tully and Yuvika Chaudhary as heroines. Prashant Narayanan &Sudesh Berry are villains in the film. The film is directed by Harjeet Wirk.
