Furniture fair at Taleigao
Panjim: A furniture fair will be held at Taleigao CommunityHall, Taleigao from December 7 to 10. Different items from home décor toexpensive furniture will be on display at the fair. About 50 stalls will be spreadover a sprawling air-conditioned area. The show is known for its assortedhigh-end products. On display will be Italian Teak wood furniture, Upholsteredsofa sets, Carved furniture, Children furniture, Cots & Mattress, Importedfurniture from Malaysia, Ethnic furniture, Leather furniture, Office Furniture,Garden Furniture, Contemporary furniture, Artefacts & Paintings, Wardrobesand dinning sets, Furnishings, Home Décor and Interior items and lots more theorganizers said.
Peoples HS platinum jubilee
Panjim’s premier educational institute, Peoples High Schoolwhich is celebrating its 75 years is concluding its celebrations with threemega events that are planned on December 8 and 9. A platinum jubilee committeeheaded by Victor Albuquerque, Manoja Caculo and Umesh Prabhugaonkar along withthe school heads will be organizing the events. People’s high school startedway back in 1936 with just 11 students. At present the strength of the schoolis more than 2000 students. On December 9 the Chief Minister will inaugurate amultipurpose hall in the school premises.
The past students will have to register by buying the schooluniform, a T-Shirt specifically designed for the occasion. The registration forthe classes will begin at 8.30am and the school will start at 9am.
