VANCOUVER
Goan Overseas Association (GOA) Vancouver participated in the 79th Annual Steveston Salmon Festival Canada Day Parade on July 1, celebrating both Canada Day and the 50th Anniversary of the GOA Vancouver.
Dressed in vibrant traditional attire and dancing to the lively rhythms of Goan music, GOA Association members showcased the rich heritage, culture, and joyful spirit of the Goan community. It was an opportunity to share traditions with thousands of spectators while celebrating the multicultural fabric that makes Canada so special.
The GOA Vancouver expressed its gratitude to the participants Carol D’Sa, Yvonne Pinto, Maria D’Souza, Shona Lobo, Lorraine D’Souza, Carmen D’Souza, Doris Amaral and Anne Da Silva, whose enthusiasm, dedication, and community spirit made the event a success.

“We are grateful to everyone who came out to support us and cheer us on. As GOA Vancouver celebrates 50 golden years, we remain committed to preserving our heritage, sharing our culture, and bringing our community together through events like these,” said GOA Vancouver President Anne Da Silva.
