Hailing from Panaji, Kenneth (Ken) Dias, a Goan technology architect based out of Houston, Texas – USA, is an expert in cloud computing and works closely with large global companies to innovate, improve operational efficiency, and optimise profitability through cloud-based technology solutions.
Dias secured a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Goa University in 2008, after which he moved to Bangalore to kickstart his career in technology with Indian IT giant Infosys.
“For well over a decade, I have worked with Fortune Global 100 companies in diverse domains - energy, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, communications, utilities, services, and insurance across North America and Europe to understand business drivers, pinpoints and identify opportunities to drive out inefficiencies through technology solutions,” says Dias.
Dias currently works for Slalom, a global technology consulting company headquartered in Seattle, USA as a Principal, and helps advise executive leadership of large global enterprises as they embark and progress through maturity levels of cloud adoption.
“The goal is to maximise return on investment, keep up with digital transformation needs and most importantly, lay the foundation for the future of technology through modernisation, innovation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning,” he says.
Dias is respected as a leader in the global technology industry and works closely with technology partners like Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google to ideate, architect and build technology of the future.
“A lot of my success is attributed to my family, especially his wife, Nikki and parents, who have encouraged and supported me all along. As a classically trained pianist, I enjoy playing piano and love spending time outdoors with our children – Koen and Kiera – and our Golden Retriever, Zach,” adds Dias.
Asked for his advice to young Goans interested in cloud computing, Dias replied: “I would encourage young Goans that are interested to take a few free online courses to understand fundamentals and more importantly the potential of cloud computing.”

Early exposure to cloud computing will help young Goans identify opportunities to solve real world problems with technology, and that might just lead to the next BIG idea!”
