The celebration began with a solemn Konkani Mass led by Goan priests from the Archdiocese of Vancouver. Fr. Nixon D’Silva served as the main celebrant, Fr Cannio Cardoza delivered an inspiring homily, and Fr Jevan concelebrated. Their presence brought a deep sense of connection to the roots of Goan faith and tradition.
The Mass was coordinated by Ashney Rebello, Social Director of GOA Vancouver, ensuring a meaningful and well-organised celebration.
A notable highlight of the event was choir directed by Crystal Menezes. The musicians comprised Clifford Almeida, Aditya Paul, Neville Noronha, Tanisha Fernandes, and Heavenly Fernandes while the singers were Sylvia Fernandes, Steffi Britto, Maura Da Cruz, Levita Fernandes, Anya Joseph, Tamara Decosta, Bea Pereira, Bina D’Souza, Doris Amaral, Bertilla Vaz, Crystal Menezes, Olavo Sodder, Doug Nazareth, Louis Dmello, William Britto, and Edwin Fernandes. Sound engineering was handled by Savio Menezes.

Following the Mass, people gathered for a reception featuring décor inspired by the scenic beauty of Goa, complete with palm-themed elements and a lively vendor fair showcasing local Goan and community artisans.
A traditional Goan luncheon, organised by Ashney Rebello and supported by generous sponsors and volunteers, was enjoyed and appreciated by the gathering. The menu included Sorpotel by Ashney; chicken by Calvin & Valonia Baretto, Nina Moniz, and Abigail Braganza (prepared by Derrick); Potato Bhaji by Raina D’Souza; Pasta by Winona Rebello; Salad by Steffi Britto; Pickles by Priya; and Pulao and dessert by Elroy Fernandes.
