LONDON
The Goenkars in Ireland came together to celebrate faith, culture, and friendship through a series of events in Dublin.
The Goan Association Ireland, in collaboration with the Goenkars, organised the Feast Mass of St Anthony, one of the much-beloved saints among Goans, on June 13. The Mass was celebrated in Konkani at St Mary's Dominican Priory, Tallaght, and was presided over by Fr Valerian Castellino, CSC.

The church was filled with devotees who gathered in prayer and devotion. Many volunteers actively participated in the liturgy, making the celebration meaningful and prayerful. Following the Mass, a fellowship gathering was held where snacks and refreshments were served, providing an opportunity for the community to meet and share in the festive spirit.
The celebrations continued with the much-awaited Goan Summer Fiesta on June 27. Goenkars from Dublin, Galway, Sligo, Cork, Killarney, Wexford, Wicklow and several other counties came together for an evening of fun, entertainment, and camaraderie. DJs Doel and Larsen kept the dance floor alive with energetic music throughout the evening, while the MCs Cajie and Doris kept the gathering engaged.

The event featured games, spot prizes, surprise gifts, and a game of tombola, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The Goan Association Ireland executive committee and volunteers were praised for organising the event.
The association Ireland now looks forward to its upcoming events, including the annual pilgrimage to Knock and a Konkani Tiatr, Konkani Musical show, Christmas Family Dine & Dance promising more opportunities for Goenkars to come together in faith, culture, and celebration.
