Story
This is a Tiger Studio film. A youngster strolling on a bridge decides to jump in the river, apparently to end his life. At that moment a college professor fishing for a past time starts a conversation and then places before the youngster a few facts and facets of life.
Screenplay
The screenplay moves straight to the point. But it appears to be a one-act play enacted out on a bridge and shot. There are no scenes as such. It is one continuous scene from the beginning to the end which makes it a little monotonous and heavy.
Acting
The film features two great actors. The youngster and the fishing professor. The professor is sitting throughout, but his expressions and dialogue delivery are excellent. He carries the film on his shoulders with poise. The youngster lends him support.
Music
There are no songs. No title song or a song in between. Had the story of the film been told in a filmy language instead of the one-act play format and a song in between, especially where the youngster narrates his forsaken love episode, that would take the film to a greater height.
The background music and score are effective.
Cinematography
The film is captured as written. The shot selection is good. Mid shots and close-ups are scarce. The film is has been nicely edited.
Direction
The film being made on a one-act play format, there is very little a director could do other than concentrate on the dialogue delivery and expressions, for which justice has been done.
