Story
TUJEM KITEM? is a P E P Productions film by Peter Fernandes. The film has a great concept -- save while you earn for a better tomorrow and keep your savings and earnings with you till your end. The father of a family agrees to transfer his house and savings to the name of his only son. The son then drives the father away and the father then passes away on the roadside.
Screenplay
The Screenplay of the film is written to the point, and the topic is handled with good poise. The sequences that follow are interesting but very predictable. However, the sequences and happenings of the film are contrary to the characters built up in the script, and hence, defies logic. However, the proceedings keep the audience glued.
Music
The film has no theme song. Music is the drawback of this film. There is a decent use of background musical score effects which make up for the lack of songs. There was ample scope for the use of a song. When the father is driven out of his house after he transfers the property papers and is walking out sadly, adding a soul searching song could have increased the effect.
Acting
Acting is decent and natural. The man playing the father was very convincing and natural. Other artistes also give good support and make a good team in acting.
Cinematography
The Cinematography and camera capture of shots is good, and the film takes a decent height on account of this. The film is shot with decent use of shots. The editing is punchy and effective.
Direction
The film falls flat on this count. The casting is done badly. The son looks older than the father and the father doesn’t even think of using make-up, probably for the fear of looking old on camera. But then in acting, the character matters, and looking like the character created is of utmost importance. Nevertheless, the film is a good attempt to deliver a great message.
