THE ASSOCIATION
According to the ‘Sarzorkars in London’ President Jeo Gomes, the association traces its origins to a BBQ at his place.
“We were talking about how we were missing the fete we used to organise as youngsters of Sarzora. Adison Rodrigues said we should celebrate our feast in london if possible. Friends like Price Fernandes, Brandon Vas and their families agreed that we should try to form an association of Sarzorkars,” said Gomes.
“As we kept meeting further, the founding members started getting bigger and extended to 20 people. We then started a fund from the founders which would be required for a possible celebration.”
The first celebration of the ‘Sarzorkars in London’ took place on October 26, 2023, with Andy Caido as the coordinator for the event. Fr Patrick D’Souza SFX celebrated the Mass at the St Paul Church in Stanwell. The Mass was followed by a get-together, with DJ Alex and MC Swinburne keeping everyone in good spirits. The catering was provided by Assumpta Caterers from Sarzora.
