Panaji: The Goa State Commission for Persons with Disabilities has launched the first series of "Colours of Resilience," a unique art exhibition celebrating the empowerment of specially-abled artists. The exhibition will feature over 100 paintings by renowned artist Federica Menezes, who has donated her artwork for auction. The event will be held at Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage from November 15 (6:00 PM - 8:30 PM) to November 17 (10:00 AM - 8:00 PM).
The exhibition aims to raise awareness and funds for the commission’s initiatives. "This event provides a platform for specially-abled artists to showcase their work," said Taha Haaziq, Secretary of the Goa State Commission for Persons with Disabilities. "Federica Menezes, herself an artist with cerebral palsy, has conceptualized this idea to support others in the community."
In addition to Federica’s work, international artists will also participate, with some creating live art at the venue. Proceeds from the auction will support the commission’s programs for persons with disabilities. The exhibition is free and open to all, with prices for artwork ranging from Rs 2,500 to Rs 90,000.
