ABERDEEN, AUGUST 9

Goa’s Festakar Marius Fernandes will host the first-ever 'Bolcaoancho Gozalli' at the Union Terrace Gardens in Aberdeen-Scotland on August 9 at 7 pm.

The Aberdeen Bolcaoancho Gozalli aims to understand how Goans are settling in Scotland’s north-east, explore their sense of belonging and cultural connection, share insights and feedback on Festacar’s festivals in Goa, strengthen the network of Goans abroad, and ensuring that traditions remain alive. 

MUMBAI, AUGUST 9 

The Goan Institute will present the World Goa Day at The Goan Institute (ILI Hall), St Francis Xavier Street, Dabul-Girgaum on August 9 from 7.30 pm onwards.

The event will feature music, dance, food and fun, with performances by The Mazagaon Serenaders, The Dabul Singers, The Susegad Rhythms, and DJ Samson. Entry is free.

READING, AUGUST 9

The Reading Amigos will host the ‘Summer Fest 2.0’ on August 9 from 12 pm to 10 pm at The Wren School, Bath Road, Reading, England RG30 2BB. In attendance will be The 7 Notes Band, Clay Jars, Mark Revlon, Leroy, Princeton Colaso, Denzil & Co, Lelis, DJs Eduardo, Xavier, Sanford, Flacid, Johnson and Velfern. MC Madonna and John.

AUCKLAND, AUGUST 16

The Goan Overseas Association of New Zealand (GOANZ) will celebrate the Feast of the Assumption with a Mass at St Therese Catholic Church, Three Kings, Auckland, on August 16, followed by fellowship and a game of housie in the Parish Hall.

MILTON KEYNES, AUGUST 16

Iconic Events and Entertainment will present Spirit of the Nation & Feast of the Assumption at Denbigh Hall Sports & Social Club, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, MK3 6PU, England, on August 16 from 5 pm onwards. The event will begin with a litany, followed by entertainment by Re-Sync one man solo band, DJ Franky and MC Simon.

SOUTHAMPTON, AUGUST 16

The Golden Goa Association, Southampton will celebrate its 15th Anniversary at St Boniface Church, Shirley, Southampton-England on August 16. Mass will be celebrated at 10 am, followed by a social get-together in the Church hall from 4 pm onwards. Celebration of Goan heritage and culture will be part of the silver jubilee celebrations of World Goa Day. The event will also celebrate India’s Independence Day celebrations and the feast of Our Lady of Assumption.

Assistant Parish Priest of St Boniface Parish Fr Godwin Kambai, OMV, will be the Chief Guest. 

The event will include the popular one-man band Chico, RJ Roque Vaz, MC Anjali D’Costa, free entry, food and drinks, Konkani music poetry recitation, songs, fancy dress, fashion show and Bingo.
