Tiatr Mogi
Roseferns latest tiatr release ‘Eke Avoicho Aunddo’ is a masterpiece of conflicting emotions melodramatically presented on stage, that has a gamut of emotions displayed and changed as the flow of tide in the family.
Script
The script is written in the non-stop drama style with the comedy not related to the main plot. The script is simple and full of interesting twists and turns. The flow of emotions too is in plenty, aka Roseferns style. A few cantos that are well composed give a nice flavour to the presentation. The sequences and jumps from one ‘pordo’ to another are interesting and gives the plot some interesting turns. Each scene is led to a beautiful climax but then the anti-climax end of a few ‘pordes’ make the tiatr more interesting.
Comedy
The comedy in this presentation is decent, yet full of smiles and laughter. The acrobats of comedian Nato specially with the tray in hand is mind blowing. Nato proves that he is definitely one of the best comedians on tiatr stage. He well supported by Dorothy and Joyel who are also decent and modest in their acts. However the comedy presented has no connect with the main story and hence can be termed as a non-stop drama act of comedy.
Sets
The sets are specially designed for this tiatr. The curtains used are new. The blue curtain is used only once and is a welcome treat for the eyes. The church and cemetery backdrops are a beautiful sight to the viewers eyes. The main sets too have a good finish and resembles the financial status of the family living in it.
Acting
For once the absence of Ulhas Tari, the backbone of Roseferns troupe for the last decades, is not at all felt. The induction of youngsters Eddy and the dynamic Joylita in the troupe has fortified the depth in acting. Roseferns carries the tiatr responsibly on his shoulders and is well supported by all artistes. Antoneta for once is seen on stage without glamour and her high heels. A role that she should cherish as one of her bests on tiatr stage. The life of the tiatr is surely the combination of Joylita and Eddy. Their intense and deep acting, their dialogue delivery, their expressions, their stage movements make them one of the best lead pairs on stage. Their on-stage chemistry is simply superb! Rosario de Benaulim too is maturing as a seasoned actor. His timing both in the serious and comedy overtures too is impeccable. Michael as the priest is very convincing.
Music/songs
The band is mellow. They are a real accompaniment band playing soft and rhythmic music. However their playing style should get fortified while playing the introductory fanfare and also introduction and interludes for the songs. Roseferns, Joylita, Michael, Rosario enthrall the audience. So also a duet by Joylita and Rosario, a duo by Michael and Eddy, a trio by Nato Dorothy and Joyel take the tiatr to a different style. The only disappointment was the much hyped Alison who has nothing of his own! His standing posture and singing expressions are a copy of Francis de Tuem. He should learn the art of singing in a style and manner that is his own. He should understand and if not made to understand that merely copying the style of a great artiste wont make him great. To become great artist, one has to have something of his own.
Direction
The direction is superb with all segments working in tandem and harmony. Roseferns lives up to his reputation of being one of the finest tiatr directors of the present day. Eke Avoicho Aunddo is a good performance to watch with your family.
