Goans in Wembley gathered for a Thanksgiving Mass on the Feast of Assumption and India’s Independence Day at the St Joseph’s Church in Wembley on August 15.
The Goan Chaplain Fr Patrick D’Souza, sfx, celebrated the Feast Mass and spoke about Mother Mary’s visit to her cousin Elizabeth to help her during her pregnancy as she was full of concern for Elizabeth.
“Just like Mother Mary, we also need to help and show concern to our family, neighbours and needy people around us,” said Fr Patrick.
He also prayed for the elected leaders of the nations to work sincerely towards the people.
Fr Patrick D’Souza coordinated the event with the help of volunteers.
