The Young Goans Club Bahrain (YGC), the only registered Goan club under Bahrain’s Ministry of Social Development (MOSD), brought the vibrant spirit of Goa to life with the World Goa Day Gala Dinner 2025, held at The Olive 4-Star Hotel.

The event, attended by nearly 300 guests, featured a blend of music, dance, and Goan culture, creating a lively and festive atmosphere that left a lasting impression on everyone present. Guests travelled from Goa, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai, underscoring the growing regional appeal of this cultural extravaganza.

The chief guest was former Goa minister of sports, art & culture and MLA from Priol-Goa Govind Gaude, while the guest of honour was Chairman of the Goa Industrial Development Corporation and MLA from Curtorim-Goa Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco.

The presence of the dignitaries added prestige and warmth to the occasion, reaffirming the strong cultural bond between Goa and its vibrant diaspora.

The night opened with a dynamic performance by the Goan musical duo Xanicroy, featuring Xanisha and Croydon, whose energetic vocals and captivating stage presence set an upbeat tone for the rest of the evening. Their lively repertoire of Goan and international hits had the audience on their feet from the very start.

The event’s charismatic Emcee, Felly Gomes, flown in specially from Goa, kept the momentum alive throughout the evening with his engaging personality, humour, and interactive style that kept the crowd entertained and connected.

Adding a soulful traditional touch, Bahrainche Goykar presented a rendition of Goan Mandos—melodic expressions of love, nostalgia, and reflection. Accompanied by the Ghumot, Violin, and Guitar, and arranged by Mark, the performance captured the emotional essence of Goa’s musical heritage, earning resounding applause from the audience.

The night continued to dazzle under the expert direction of DJ Joel of SNSDJ, who provided not just top-notch sound but also mesmerising lighting that transformed the venue into a pulsating dance floor. His electrifying mixes kept guests grooving late into the night, perfectly complementing the festive spirit of the celebration.

“The World Goa Day Gala Dinner 2025 was a resounding success and was one of Bahrain’s most eagerly awaited Goan celebrations. This event was a shining example of YGC’s dedication, teamwork, and passion,” said Young Goans Club Bahrain President Noel Fernandes.

“With the unwavering support of sponsors and the local Goan community, the Young Goans Club Bahrain once again delivered an unforgettable celebration of Goan culture, unity, and pride.”
