VASTU FOR OUTDOOR-INDOOR PLANTS

Any sort of obstruction must be avoided for the morning sun rays to enter the house

VASTU FOR OUTDOOR-INDOOR PLANTS

Agnelo Pires

There is no doubt that the morning ultraviolet sun rays are good for our health. They also purify the atmosphere inside the house. Many doctors recommend rays to do away with some health issues as a therapy.

Any sort of obstruction must be avoided for the morning sun rays to enter the house. There must also be a free flow of positive energies entering from auspicious directions. Hence care should be taken as to what kind of plant and trees to be grown inside and outside the house.

Outside the house in the direction of North, North-East and East grass lawn or small plant can be grown. From South to West, tall and thick trees should be grown. This is because the sun’s infrared rays flow from this direction which is harmful to one’s health. These rays need to be stopped from entering one's Vastu or house. There is no harm to grow medium-sized trees in the South-East and North-West.

If the house has a balcony in the North, North-East or East then small plants or light vases with small plants can be kept in this direction. In the South and South-West balcony, heavy vases with tall plants can be auspiciously kept.

Keeping a Tulsi plant is considered auspicious as it has the quality of absorbing the surrounding negative energy. It can be kept in all the directions except in the Brahmasthan, especially in the North-East and South-East it is considered more auspicious. Creepers can be grown in the South and the West direction. But care must be taken they don’t use the compound wall. Money plants should be allowed to grow in an upward direction and not in a downward position.

There should not be any tree or heavy plant exactly in front of the main entrance gate or door. This is a serious Vastu defect and must be done away with at all costs.

Certain plants such as Areca, bamboo, snake, spider and money plant can be kept indoors as they function as air purifiers. One can also grow ashoka, mango and neem trees in one’s garden as they are considered auspicious. Trees such as lemon, tamarind, black plum, jack fruit and eucalyptus should be avoided. Bonsai plant should best be avoided as they hamper the growth of the plant which inversely can hamper the overall growth in terms of peace and prosperity of the family.

Besides rose and aloe vera plants, no other thorny plants should be grown in or outside the house.

As a human mind, our thoughts are produced innumerably in the day. While some of the thoughts are conscious, most of our thoughts are subconscious. Most of us continue to have a running dialogue in our minds throughout which is known as self-talk. Our thoughts continually running in the background while we are awake or asleep. These thoughts can be in the form of reminding yourself what needs to be done, giving yourself some instructions, making decisions, making mental…
