BICHOLIM
The Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Tuesday detained four Bangladeshi nationals at Bordem Bicholim who were living in huts near a farm at Bordem. The four persons will be presented before the foreign registration authorities. The four suspects are all residents of North Rajapur, Post Rajapur Bazaar in Bangladesh. They had obtained Aadhaar cards and would use those cards to travel and reside within India and Goa. They have been engaged in the business of collecting and selling scrap material in bulk and later selling them to scrap dealers. One of the suspects visited Bangladesh every two years, while another suspect visited Bangladesh four years ago. As soon as the ATS got information about these families, they interrogated them and it was found that all four persons are of Bangladeshi origin. Sources said they will be handed over to the foreign registration office and will be sent back to Bangladesh. Until then, they will be kept under house arrest in the room they live in and will be required to report to the police station every day.
