There will be blessing of the renovated Candelaria Chapel on Feburary 2 at 4.30 pm, to mark the Feast of the Presentation of Lord Jesus or the Feast of Candelmas. The Chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Candelaria was under renovation for last 10 months. The total funding of the renovation has been done by Vitorino Lobo. The Novena to Our Lady of Candelaria will begin on Febuarary 6. There will be different spiritual practises at 5 pm prior to the Novena Mass, which will commence at 5.30 pm. Fr Gabriel Fernandes Ofm Cap, Fr Sunny Fernandes Ofm cap, Fr Lester Cardozo Ofm Cap and Fr Joevit D’Costa will be the preachers during the Novena. The main celebrant for the Feast Day will be Bishop Emeritus of Port Blair Alex Dias sfx. The Masses on the Feast Days are at 7 am, 9 am and 12 pm. This year, the feast is celebrated by Diogo Fernandes and Rosalina Fernandes along with their family members. There will be also the First Saturday Devotion at Our Lady of Candelaria Chapel in Pilerne on Feburary 7 from 9.30 am to 1pm.
