PANAJI: A community cleanliness drive was held at Adpai ferry point on 13 February 2026 under the “Bin It Better” initiative. The programme was supported by United Breweries Limited and implemented by PLAN Foundation with the support of Village Panchayat Durbhat. A total of 33 participants, including senior citizens, women, sanitation workers and panchayat members, took part in the drive. Sarpanch Amruta Naik, Deputy Sarpanch Sadguru Gaude and panch members Gauresh and Deepa Naik participated in the activity.
Participants were equipped with waste-picking sticks, safety jackets, gloves and protective gear. The participation of senior citizens aged around 70 years stood out and encouraged community involvement. The initiative stressed the importance of clean public spaces and sustainable waste disposal habits.
