Daddy’s Home Special School for Mentally Challenged and Slow Learners has thrown open its doors since June 10 for this academic year, post summer vacations. The children with special needs from around Salcete can happily return to their school and carry out their day to day learning and vocational activities including baking, singing, dancing, cooking and learning life skills including housekeeping. Daddy’s Home Special School is open to day scholars and also has hostel facilities for children with special needs which is provided for those who cannot commute everyday or those who live far away from the school premises. Fr Valmiki also has a pick and drop bus service across parts of Salcete.
