A driver from Bamonwada in Siolim has been booked on charges of driving his car over and killing a pet dog at Fernandeswada in Marna-Siolim. While the incident had taken place at 11.55 pm on August 21, police registered a case against the car driver, Satish Sadekar, on Friday. Peter Fernandes of Fernandeswada-Siolim had filed a police complaint, accusing Sadekar of deliberately running over his pet dog, which was by the roadside. The dog got crushed under the car and was killed on the spot. Anjuna police have registered a case against Sadekar, and further investigation is being conducted by Police Sub-Inspector Nitesh Shingadi.
