Vedanta highlights rural education, digital inclusion on Literacy Day

PANAJI: On International Literacy Day, observed on September 8, Vedanta Sesa Goa highlighted its initiatives under ‘Project Vriddhi’ to promote rural education and digital inclusion. The company has upgraded 119 anganwadis into Nand Ghars, supported over 3,000 rural students through its “Back to School” programme, and awarded scholarships to 1,200 underprivileged children. It has also set up 19 computer labs and six centres across Goa, Maharashtra, and Karnataka, benefiting more than 5,000 students annually. A new computer lab was recently inaugurated at Shri Mahamaya High School, Mayem.
