CANACONA: The Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC) at Alto Porvorim in association with Canacona Community Health Centre (CHC) organised a cleanliness drive in the CHC surroundings on Saturday. The cleanliness drive was attended by over 130 volunteers, including security personnel, PWD workers, doctors, nursing staff, MTS, administrative staff of CHC, besides some prominent social workers including CMC Councillor Shubham Komarpant, Damodar Chari and others. The cleanliness drive included trimming of overgrown bushes and creepers in the CHC campus, with many workers working continuously for 3 hours on Saturday morning. Komarpant asked CHC authorities to develop the open space available in front of the CHC Building into a beautiful garden, so that visitors to the CHC can enjoy the clean atmosphere. GHRDC Sr Security officer Pandurang Pagui, stated that the main reason for keeping the cleanliness drive is to keep the CHC Campus clean and tidy. Br Prashant, Dr Classy Furtado, Dr Vinoo, Sr Swarupa, Sunay Komarpant, Suraj Komarpant, and Gourish were some of the active participants in the drive.
