Over 1,200 citizen services delivered across S Goa under Seva Pakhwada

MARGAO: The South Goa District Administration, under the Seva Pakhwada initiative, organized special outreach camps in all talukas through the Deputy Collectors and Mamlatdars with support from various line departments. These camps witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens, leading to the delivery of over 1200 services and approvals during the period.

Services delivered at the camps covered a wide range of citizen needs. These included issuance of caste, domicile and residence certificates, SANAD and GRUCA approvals, forest rights claims, and mundkar declaration cases. Citizens also benefitted from disbursements under the Atal Asra Scheme, road repairs undertaken by PWD, issuance of ration cards and PDS permits, tree cutting permissions, marriage and birth registrations, as well as partition orders under ISLR. Additionally, the Transport Department facilitated new vehicle registrations, driving and learning licences, and bus permits.

Taluka-wise performance was as follows: Dharbandora – 117 services; Ponda – 65 services; Sanguem – 56 services; Quepem – 653 services; Mormugao – 59 services; Salcete (SDM I – 209, SDM II – 08) – Total 217 services and Canacona – 41 services.
