MARGAO: Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Goa has invited entries for its annual awards, including the Literature, Children’s Literature, Translation and Yuva Sahitya Awards. The Mandal will complete 64 years this year, and the awards will be presented at a function on October 2. The awards are named in memory of Rock Barretto, Shridhar Kamat and Ramesh Veluskar (Literature Awards), Dr Manoharrai Sardesai (Children’s Literature Award), Ramanath Manerkar (Translation Award), and Fr Moreno D’Souza (Yuva Sahitya Award). Books published between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2025 will be eligible. Entries are invited in the categories of short stories, poetry, drama, tiatr, novels, one-act plays, essays, research and translation. Konkani books written in both Roman and Devanagari scripts are eligible for these awards.
