PANAJI: A book of poems by Dr Maureen Ann Alvares, titled The Seasons of Her, was released at Casa Araujo Alvares near Big Foot, Loutolim. The collection explores her thoughts, emotions, memories and experiences across different stages of life. Divided into three parts, the book traces her childhood and teenage years, her journey into adulthood, and her life from then until the present. The final section reflects on her experiences as a teacher, wife, mother and grandmother. Alvares hopes her poems will encourage readers to look within, acknowledge their feelings and accept themselves. Describing her style, she said, “It has no rhythm, not even a blank verse. It is just bubbling with what I’m feeling that comes out on the page.”
