PANAJI: Goan watercolour artist and educator Kalidas K Satardekar, South India Leader of the International Watercolor Society (IWS), represented India at the fifth international watercolor exhibition and festival, Saigon Aquarelle Vibrant Colours, held in Vietnam from September 18 to 22. Invited by IWS Vietnam, Satardekar joined IWS leaders and artists from several countries for artistic and cultural exchange. He conducted four live watercolor demonstrations, including two portrait demonstrations and a collaborative painting, at the gallery, besides a portrait demonstration at Mekong University. He also met Cà Mau provincial leaders and Mekong University Rector Assoc Prof Dr Luong Minh Cu. Satardekar, accompanied by artists Prasanthi C and Smriti C, said the visit helped promote India and Goa through art. He is also planning an international watercolor carnival in Goa in February 2027.
