CANACONA: A Jan Kalyan Shibhir was organised in Canacona to help people access information and benefits under the Mhaje Ghar Yojana, Kisan Credit Card Scheme and other government welfare schemes. Tribal Welfare Minister and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar attended the programme and distributed sanction orders under the Mhaje Ghar Yojana to beneficiaries. He also felicitated several distinguished personalities. Speaking at the event, Tawadkar expressed happiness over the enthusiastic response from the public. “This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to taking welfare schemes and essential public services directly to the doorstep of every deserving citizen. Together, we remain committed to building an empowered, inclusive and self-reliant Goa,” he said. Additional Collector-II Ramesh Gaonkar, Canacona Municipal Council Chief Officer Laxmikant R. Desai and other officials were present at the Shibhir.

MAPUSA: The Mapusa-based Bardez Bazaar will remain open all seven days of the week, including Sundays, from July 5.
