MC Kathariya Handlooms opens in Belagavi

PANAJI: MC Kathariya Handlooms, a family-run handloom business with over 80 years of tradition, will open its fourth venture in Belagavi on Thursday. The new store will offer a range of handloom sarees, including Ilkal, Paithani, Narayanpet and Jijamata sarees, along with bridal, silk, cotton, designer and ready-to-wear collections. The family, which traces its handloom legacy across five generations, sources pure silk and cotton sarees through its own weaving network and looms. The business says it is trusted by more than 500 families in India and abroad. The new store will be inaugurated at 11 am on August 13 at Prasad Arcade, opposite Shree Datta Mandir, Mahatma Phule Road, Shahapur, Belagavi. Special inaugural offers will be available.

PANAJI: ‘64 Days of 18 June 1946’, a book by journalist and author Sandesh Prabhudesai, will be released on Independence Day, August 15, at the Black Box of Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, at 4.30 pm.
