GSIDC Vice-Chairperson and Saligao MLA Kedar Naik recently handed over a sound system to Pragati High School at Betim-Verem. This sound system was received by the chairman of Kissan Shikshan Sanstha Prakash Kalangutkar in the presence of school headmaster Tulsidas Haldarnkar, ZP member Sandeep Bandodkar, Reis Magos Dy Sarpanch Shruti Chodankar, and Panch Gauri Pednekar. Naik mentioned that this sound system is being delivered to Pragati High School through Zilla Parishad funds. “Sound systems, water purifiers and smart boards have so far been delivered to many schools, churches and temples in Saligao constituency. I was told by the Chairman of Kissan shikshan Sanstha that the education department has sent two music teachers each to their schools at Pilerne and Nerul, but without the requisite music instruments. “He will arrange to send one tabla and a harmonium to both these schools immediately so that students should not suffer,” said Naik. ZP member Sandeep Bandodkar said he had studied at the Pragati High School and felt happy that he got an opportunity to deliver a sound system to the school.
