Samraat Club marks Gomant Rangbhumi Din in Panaji

PANAJI: Samraat Club, Panaji, celebrated Gomant Rangbhumi Din on July 14 at Omida Dance and Fitness Academy in Taleigao. During the programme, the club felicitated theatre artiste Vishal Asolkar for his contribution to the field of drama.

Mahesh Naik attended the event as the chief guest and spoke about Samraat Club’s role in promoting Goa’s art and culture. Club president Anju Desai, secretary Pooja Kenkre, treasurer Vivek Vernekar, and board members Bhalchandra Amonkar, Prakash Mahambre, Rajat Maewal and Surabhi Tirlotkar were present. The programme was compered by Shainaz Khan.

Paver block work begins at Shri Paikdev Temple in Mangal

SANGUEM: The foundation stone for paver block work at the Shri Paikdev Temple premises in Mangal village was laid by social worker Satyavan Gaonkar, who is funding the project personally. The beautification work fulfils a long-pending demand of villagers, who had sought improvements to the temple premises for several years.
