Tribal Welfare dept invites DASK applications

PANAJI: The Directorate of Tribal Welfare has invited applications from eligible non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and charitable trusts to establish nine Dharti Aaba Suvidha Kendras (DASK) aimed at empowering Scheduled Tribe communities through localised support and development. The centres will be set up in the village panchayats of Morpirla, Cotigao, Gaondongrim, Neturlim, Cola, Malcarnem, Shristhal, Poinguinim and Kirlapal-Dabal. Eligible organisations must be registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, or as charitable trusts, with at least 50 per cent of their members belonging to the Scheduled Tribe community.

The scheme provides recurring financial assistance towards staff salaries, rent, administrative expenses and community activities, along with a one-time grant of Rs 1.5 lakh for equipment and furniture. Applications in the prescribed format must be submitted to the Directorate of Tribal Welfare on or before August 7, 2026, along with the required supporting documents. The Director of Tribal Welfare has reserved the right to reject applications without assigning any reason.
