The Bombay High Court at Goa has issued notices after the Goa Foundation as well as the Federation of Rainbow Warriors approached the Court challenging permissions granted to the Goa Tamnar power line between Karnataka and Goa.

The PIL filed by the Goa Foundation and five landowners who claimed that lands would be affected as a result of the project, challenges the approval dated November 28 issued by the Central Electricity Authority for an alignment of the 400 kV High Tension Line (HTL).

The Central Electricity Authority, the Ministry of Environment & Forests, the Goa Electricity Department, the Town and Country Planning Department and the Ministry of Power have been asked to file their responses.
