PANAJI: Opus Gala, in collaboration with The Philomena Thumboochetty Music Academy and Fomento, presents “Voyage”, an evening of orchestral music featuring works by composers JS Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, William Walton, and Tchaikovsky.
The ensemble, formed through the collaboration of the Bangalore City Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of Goa (COG), was founded by Arun Rozario from Bangalore, Joris Decolvenaer from Brussels, and Sanya Cotta (late) from Goa.
Comprising musicians primarily from India, alongside players from Sri Lanka, Russia, Lithuania, and Belgium, this concert is dedicated to the loving memory of Vincent Ramos, deeply rooted in the Goan community. The event, to be held on 29th February (Thursday) at 7:00 pm at St. Michael’s Church, Taleigao, coincides with the church’s 480th anniversary. Conducted by Maestro Joris Decolvenaer, the orchestra showcases some of the finest talents across India.
