The Department of Information & Publicity organizes public lectures in five cities across Goa to mark the 60th year of Goa`s Liberation in order to make youth of Goa aware and sensitize about the great history of Goa and its other aspects such as Heritage, Art, Culture, Diversity, Language, Industry, folklore, Music, freedom struggle and freedom fighters. The first lecture will be held on December 13 at Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir, Ponda at 10 am wherein prominent writer and educationist Prakash Vazarikar will deliver the lecture focusing on Goa`s history and its cultural heritage, literature. On December 14 Governor, Himachal Pradesh Rajendra Arlekar will deliver talk on Goa @ 60 at Ravindra Bhavan Margao at 10 am. Similarly, on December 14 public lecture has been arranged by the Department at Ravindra Bhavan, Sanquelim at 10 am. Renowned environmentalist Rajendra Kerkar will deliver lecture on Goan history, culture, folklore. The Department has organized a lecture on December 15 by educationist Datta B. Naik at EDC Hall, Panaji at 10 am. Similarly, educationist Bhushan Bhave will deliver lecture on topic Goa`s heritage, Art and culture and freedom struggle on December 15 at Shree Hanuman Natyagriha, Mapusa at 10 am.
