The Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (ICAR-KVK) organized a soil health campaign in Anjuna on Thursday.
The programme started with a talk by Technical Officer (Soil Science) Shashi Vishwakarma about the importance of soil testing and soil nutrients management for sustainable agriculture development. He also explained about Soil Health Cards and their applications for quality crops production.
He demonstrated the soil sampling methods on farmers' fields under the presence of sarpanch Patrick Savio Almeida. Twenty farmers actively attended the soil health campaign programme.
