Asst Prof Dr Cheryl Venan Dias, Head of the Department of Tourism Studies, SS Dempo College of Commerce and Economics, Cujira, Goa was awarded with Doctorate Degree (PhD) in the discipline of Management from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore on October 21. The thesis was titled ‘Influence of Talent Development activities on employee performance of micro, small, medium and large tourism enterprises and their effect on organisational performance’. The study was conducted under the guidance of Assoc Prof (Dr) P Radha.
The study is unique as it focuses on Talent Development and recommends innovative methods to the people and culture or HR department to improve its employee performance thus also influencing the organisational performance. Dr Cheryl has presented in 15 international conferences and published in nine peer-reviewed UGC-Care, Scopus, and ABDC Journals. She has also authored a book and contributed two chapters in national and international books.
She is the wife of Venan Bonaventure Dias and is a resident of Santo Est
