Prof Cajetan (Caetano) Francisco Raposo of St Xavier’s College, Mapusa has been awarded with the prestigious D D Kossambi Post “ Doctoral Research Fellowship by the Department of Art and Culture.The Post Doctoral Research Study proposal submitted to the government was approved on the topic “Village Moira: A Socio-Political and Historical Perspective”.
The study will span a period of two years from January 2022 till 2024 and the awardee has been sanctioned an initial amount of Rs 1.87 lakh.The research proposal was consented by a jury of a five-member panel, which included the Director of Higher Education, Director of Art and Culture, Principal of DMC College and others. Raposo is currently serving as head of department of political science at St Xavier’s College, Mapusa, and has had a prolific academic career. Having done his MA in Political Science, Prof Raposo has completed his MED in Education from Goa University, MPhil in Political Science from Madurai Kamraj University, Chennai and PhD in Political Science from University of Pune.
