PANAJIAs part of the Independence Day celebrations Caculo Mall in collaboration with the Disability Rights Association of Goa (DRAG) conducted an event for the persons with disabilities. The three day programme will have stalls put up by the specially-abled at the atrium in Caculo Mall to sell their products. DRAG will host educational sessions on topics such as sign language, financial planning and rights of people with disabilities. The event put the spotlight on the lives of the disabled and the underprivileged citizens of Goa. As part of this celebration, an empowerment pop-up was organised by the specially-abled persons displaying their work. The fifth newsletter of DRAG called ‘Disability News’ was released at the hands of the chief guest Krunal Thakur, final year law student along with Shamik Caculo, director at Caculo Mall, senior journalist Prakash Kamat and disability activist and DRAG president Avelino De Sa. The magazine highlights various job opportunities and news from Goa.
