Goa registered five more Covid deaths on Saturday taking the total toll to 3032. Of the five deaths, three were recorded at the Goa Medical College and two at South Goa District Hospital. There were 235 new covid cases and 293 recoveries taking the active covid count to 2,604.

Curfew in Goa now extended till July 5

PANAJI Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday said the Statewide curfew which was to end on June 28 has been extended until 7 am on July 5. Goa has been under a partial curfew since May 9 with six extensions as the second Covid-19 wave ravaged the State. Cases of the “Delta Plus” mutant said to be the potential trigger for a third wave forecast by experts are said to have weighed in on the government to extend the curfew.
