Boat competition 2020 cancelled

The Directorate of Art and Culture has informed that, this year due to COVID-19 pandemic, Government has decided to cancel the boat competition and also the cultural programmes that were to be organized on the occasion of Tripurari festival at Vitthalapur, Sankhali, as a measure to contain the spread of COVID-19. General public as well as participants of boat competition are requested to take note of the same.

GSWA notifies 5 water bodies in State as wetlands

PANAJI The Goa State Wetland Authority (GSWA) in a recent meeting, has approved draft notification of ten (10) water bodies as under Wetlands (Conservation and Management) Rules, 2017.Five of the water bodies identified as wetlands under these rules, are published as draft notification in Official Gazette of Goa dated November 19.
