Canacona police seize liquor consignment

CANACONA
A liquor consignment worth Rs 5,256 which was illegally brought for loading into a train was seized by police near the Konkan Railway Station in Canacona late Thursday evening.

According to Canacona PI Pravin Gawas, policemen noticed some liquor boxes stocked near the KRC Station at Nagorcem, apparently to be loaded into a train. The seizure consisted of whisky in various quantities with a combined value of Rs 5,256.

“The seized liquor has been handed over to local excise department,” said PI Gawas.
