MARGAO: Canacona YSC defeated Parish Youth Nuvem 8-6 via the tiebreaker to enter the quarterfinals of the Areal Panchayat inter village football tournament played at Padribhat football ground on Thursday.
At the normal time both the teams were tied 3-3. Francis Colaco netted a brace while Cydar Colaco was the other scorer for Parish Youth Nuvem. Yamnursab Pinjar, Alreach Barreto and Shane Afonso scored a goal each for Canacona SCC. In the ensuing tiebreaker - Canacona scored through Chaitan Komarpant, Yamnursab Pinjar, Austin Diniz, Siddharth Komarpant and Terence Lobo while Nicolou Colaco, Meislen Barreto and Cyder Colaco netted for Parish Youth Nuvem. Yamnursab Pinjar was declared as man of the match.
