Former union minister and Mandrem Vikas Parishad Chairman Ramakant Khalap said Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will inaugurate the Mandrem College of Commerce, Economics and Management on Thursday at 5 pm. "The opposition leader, MLA Dayanand Sopte, Goa University Vice-Chancellor Varun Sahani, Morjim ZP member Satish Shetgaonkar, Mandrem Sarpanch Subhash Asolkar, advocate Surendra Sardesai and architect Nandan Sawant will also be present at the ceremony," he said. Khalap spoke about the Mandrem Vikas Parishad's role as an educational organisation. "Before starting the college in 2011, the organisation established multiple pre-primary, primary, high school and higher secondary institutes," said Kahalap. He also informed that people who have contributed towards the college will be felicitated by the chief minister. The news conference was attended by Dr Pratiksha Khalap, Narayan Naik, Principal Mohandas Chodankar, Prof Sumeksha Gaonkar and Prof Arun Naik.
