Four members of a family in Dhargal have been arrested on charges of assaulting a relative in the locality. They were later released on bail.
According to Pernem Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi, a complaint was filed on Tuesday stating that four persons pelted stones and assaulted a person at Dhargal.
The four accused, Vijay Shirgaokar, Vallabh Shirgaokar, Abhishek Shirgaokar and Shan Shirgaokar, from Mahakhajan-Dhargal were later arrested under Sections 324, 504 R/w 34 IPC and further released on bail.
A chapter case under Section 107 CrPC has also been sent against the accused persons to the Pernem SDM for preventive action. Further investigation is in progress.
