Belagavi police seized Goa liquor worth Rs 50,000 which was illegally being transported to Belagavi. “The accused, Anil Dhamane of Dhorgalli-Belagavi, was transporting this liquor from Goa to Belagavi. Camp police team led by PI Prabhakar Dharmatti caught him at Ganeshpur road. and seized 182 whisky and rum bottles 750 ml each of different brands. Sanctioned suitable reward to the team,” DCP (L & O) Dr Vikram Amte said. The accused has been arrested in this connection, while a car was also seized as police investigations are underway.
